ChildFund in collaboration with Ministry of Education and Sports especially the Department of Inclusive learning Centre, Australian NGO Co-operation Program (ANCP) and Aid Children with Disability Association (ACDA) co-created Better Outcome for Inclusive Learning (BOIL) project. This is a 3 year project which aims to work with teachers, education officials, CWDs, their families, and other community-level stakeholders to ensure that schools have knowledge, resources, and structures in order to provide all girls and boys, including CWD, with quality, inclusive education. This project will also identify digital environment as an added value to children with disabilities for more inclusive learning and online safety.

Mr. Biju Abraham, Country Director of ChildFund in Laos said, “children with disability are one of the most marginalized and excluded sections of the society. COVID – 19 pandemic has brought in even more risk as they face isolation, exclusion, less access to medical services, inclusive education and greater risk of exploitation. BOIL project will ensure inclusion of Children with disability in schooling system and they are not left behind.”

CFL’s BOIL project seeks to improve school and teacher capacity to provide inclusive and engaging quality learning environments for vulnerable girls and boys with different learning needs including children with disabilities. CFL will work with parents, caregivers, teachers, and community leaders to plan, monitor, and support quality inclusive education in Laos.
