ChildFund Laos organise a kick-off meeting of the Child and Youth Empowerment for Climate Change Action Project

Global climate change is not just a challenge for developed countries, but also for all humanity worldwide, including Laos. To undertake this challenge, ChildFund in Laos recently collaborated with the Commission for Advancement of Women, Mothers and Children in Vientiane Capital (CAWMC) to organise a kick-off meeting of the Child and Youth Empowerment for Climate Change Action Project to empower children and youth in 30 target schools in Sikhodtabong District to cope with climate change. The meeting took place at the Vientiane Capital Cabinet.
At the meeting, the objectives and details of the project’s activities were presented for the partners to recognize and understand. In addition, the participants of the meeting also exchanged opinions directly with one another to jointly implement the activities of the project to achieve the objectives.
The Child and Youth Empowerment for Climate Change Action Project aims to empower children and young people by strengthening life skills development and climate change awareness. It also emphasizes keeping schools and communities clean and promoting sustainable city recycling programs. The project is funded by ChildFund Korea.
