Child Life Skills Empowerment Project
Child Life Skills Empowerment Project in collaboration with the National Commission for Advancement of Women, Mothers and Children (NCAWMC), kicked off the implementation meeting on 12 December 2022, held in Sopbao District, Houaphanh Province. The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Khuitiphone Thammavong, Deputy Director of Houaphan Province’s Administration Office and Mr. Xaysavang Songyongya, the Mayor of Sopbao District, Houaphanh Province.
The purpose of this meeting is to present the Child Life Skills Empowerment Project as the new project of ChildFund in Laos to the government partners at the provincial and district levels in Houaphanh Province.
The main Project’s objectives are Children are empowered to lead positive change in their schools and communities build children’s capacity to support their peers and empower children to lead positive change in their schools and communities, increase financial literacy knowledge, develop children’s life skills and be able to support their friends, have the right to express their opinions and have those opinions heard — particularly when proposing solutions to problems that affect their lives.
