ChildFund in Laos financially empowers women through savings and loan programs. CFL’s SCALING project, funded by the European Union in Laos , held the Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLA) monitoring activity in 4 target villages of Xamneua District, Huaphanh Province.
Participants were also trained on Women’s Leadership to change family dynamics and to influence their communities’ perception of the role of women by recognizing women’s knowledge, abilities, strengths, and achievements.
There are currently 138 VSLA members in the four target areas with a total of 138.463.000 LAK saving deposits.
