CFL’s Promoting Accountability and Education Rights (PAER) Project

In July 2022, CFL’s Promoting Accountability and Education Rights (PAER) Project, funded by the European Union in Laos, completed the Community-Based Monitoring Tablet training for Civil Society Groups from 9 target villages in Xamneua District, Huaphanh Province.
ChildFund in Laos staff provided the Community-Based Monitoring tablet training approach and implemented it for a two-day training workshop, covering the key components of the Community-Best Monitoring (CBM) approach, such as how to choose quality benchmarks, how to input data into the monitoring form, and generally how to use the tablet technology and the Kobo software for collecting and analyzing data.
By participating in the training, participants will gain an understanding of the tablets, the software, and the already-written training manual. Following the training, the project staff and DESB distributed tablets to civil society groups (CSG) for the implementation and oversight of school development plans (SDPs), one tablet per village.
