Childfund in Laos’ Ready for Life Project Phase II and the National Commission for the Advancement of Women, Mothers and Children (NCAWMC) organised a training of trainers on the National Guidelines on Child Protection in Secondary Schools in Dakcheung District, Xekong Province.

Participants in this training learnt about child protection goals from relevant ministries and organisations, including NCAWMC and the Under-Secretary of Xekong Province. They also had the opportunity to hear from district-level authorities in Dakcheung District. Furthermore, teachers and students from Dakcheung Secondary School took part by voicing their perspectives and sharing their vision to find solutions to child protection issues at school.

At present, ChildFund in Laos and the National Commission for the Advancement of Women, Mothers, and Children have prioritized child protection in Laos and provided training on the National Guidelines on Child Protection in Secondary Schools in Vientiane Capital, Huaphan Province, XiengKhouang Province, and Xekong Province, with more provinces to follow in the future.
