The Promoting Accountability and Education Rights (PAER) Project conducted orientation and training in 2 target villages in Laos to promote accountable solutions in education.

On 1st and 2nd of April, 2021. The Promoting Accountability and Education Rights (PAER) Project in partnership with implementing partners including the Life Skills Development Association (LSDA) and Aid for Children with Disability Association (ACDA), Provincial and District Education government counterparts conducted orientation and training in 2 target villages, which is supported by European Union in Laos.

The objective of this training is for both government and civil society to jointly work together for accountable solutions in education. This orientation was to inform and have dialogue with the communities about the key interventions of the project to promote ownership to fulfil the education rights for every child in the community.

This training also raised issues related to education and children’s rights, and how the related village committees including Village Education Development Committee (VEDC) and Civil Society Group (CSG) will link activities and project objectives to promote community development within the community. The project working team will continue to implement this work in all 60 target villages in Houaphanh province.
