Last week, ChildFund in Laos’ Promoting Accountability and Education Rights (PAER) project collaborated with the Xamneua District Education and Sports Bureau in Huaphanh Province to promote understanding of human rights among Village Education Development Committees (VEDCs) so that they can better enact the realization of children’s right to education.

In order to do this, the project started to lay the groundwork to strengthen VEDCs through promoting more diverse membership, capacity building, and education to the community, with the aim to promote the participation of community’s members, access to rights, and inclusion in culture and society, which is supported by European Union in Laos
