Scaling-up Access to Basic Education in Laos (SABEL) Project staff led primary students to participate in Reading Festival event to improve their Lao language speaking, reading, and writing skills, and to promote the importance of Lao language literacy.

In addition, the festival opened many opportunities for children to learning exchange of new skills and abilities, and express their talents in front of their communities. It also encouraged children’s parents and guardians to be committed in supporting children in their community to continue studying Lao language. This festival was held in Huameuang District, Huaphanh Province.
