We promote breastfeeding and nutritious food intake to safeguard children’s first 1000 days and reduce the malnutrition rate in Lao PDR. CFL’s SCALING project works with the residents in Xamnuea District, Huaphanh Province to:
- reduce chronic malnutrition for children ages 0-5 years old from 33% to 25%.
- reduce the rate of emaciation in children from 9% to less than 5%.
- and increase the rates of breastfeeding of children 6 months+ from 44% to 60% by 2025.
